Dreamers

Greetings all:)
This month has been a time of winding down and gathering in. This week many of us gathered together with family and friends in celebration and gratitude of this season and of each other.
I had the opportunity last week to gather together with the community at The Northern Winds for a class on the use and creation of dream pillows. We infused our pillows with energy from herbs, crystals and symbols then we charged them together as a group.
Dream Pillows are a tool for working through processes and working on challenges while in dream state.
Everyone who participated in Friday's class is invited to post to the blog the results of their dream pillow work. The learning we do is enhanced and deepened when done as a community, sharing our experiences strengthens us as individuals and as a group.
You are all invited to the next event I will be co-leading at The Northern Winds. We will be hosting a drum and chant circle focused on releasing the last of the old energies from this year. We plan to come together as a community mixing and sharing rhythms and having a good time.
And as always you are invited to contact me for more information about any of the meditations and classes presented by Sister Services.
Blessed be, may the energy of gratitude generated by so many on Thursday be with you through the rest of this season in your giving and receiving.

Good morning and welcome to a new age with a new hope for the future!
As you may know the planet is moving into a breaking down cycle and there has been a lot of talk about 2012.
Here is what I believe- I believe that our world has been engaged in a crescendo of struggle based in our living in fear. I believe that a time is coming of letting go of that fear and learning that we are strong enough, smart enough, loving enough and flexible enough to meet the challenges that life has to offer; we need not fear those challenges, just grow from them by allowing them to change us. I believe that across the planet we are breaking down our fears of one another and that we will live long enough to see both the fruit's and backlash of this. Today though, I rejoice with you all and send everyone everywhere thoughts of healing and a renewed sense of global purpose and interconnectedness. I am glad that we are able to share this time in history together. Let our common future be one of learning and mutual support.
Blessed Be,
Beth

A Day In The Garden

Hello all. I have been busy at work updating some glitches on the website. If you logged on recently you may have tried to open the new 'Fees' tab only to find yourself back at the home page- that is now fixed.
I spent this morning weeding my garden and found two new plants had volunteered up. A mystery pepper plant and some form of potato plant are sprouting. After weeding I went to the nursery and bought some baby greens and various vegetables. As important as it is to pull weeds from the garden it is just as important to then fill the cleared space with wanted plants. Empty space in a fertile garden will grow any seed that that blows in or is dropped in by passing birds or people.
Our minds and spirits are fertile gardens that occasionally need tending. We each have unwanted beliefs and unfinished business that is serving only to drain us and use precious resources we might otherwise be using to grow empowering beliefs and lives. I invite you all to come to any of our classes or meditations and tend your gardens with compassion, then share the fruits of your wisdom with our community.
Yesterday I was visited by a morning dove. Birds are spirit messengers that invite us to pay attention and learn from the information they bring. My dove reminded me that I have a growing sense of peace and balance in my life. The dove gave me an opportunity to be aware of my blessings and to be grateful for them.
This month I will debuting a class on divination by birds called orinthomancy.
May your gardens be fruitful this season and may you find gratitude for your blessings.
I am grateful for each of you.
Blessed Be.

Another beautiful day

Greetings to you all:)
I'd like to thank everyone who attended the 10-03 class at The Northern Winds on circle casting. We had a great conversation and I learned a lot from the stories, thoughts and questions that you all brought to class. I look forward to seeing you all again on 11-21 at the Making Dream Pillow's class also being held at The Northern Winds.
Or perhaps I'll see you before at one of the classes I'll be hosting at Corvus between now and then.
As usual I'd like to invite anyone who has attended any of my classes/workshops/etc to post questions or comments to this blog. The mission of sister services is to "Grow an empowering community in joy, learning and transformation", one of the ways this is done is by sharing our thoughts, questions and lessons with each other that we may benefit from the experience of others.
If you happen to be at any of the places where free publications are available please look for this months copy of the Women's Community Connection where you will see among other things, an ad for Sister Services! This is our first real advertisement and its kind of exciting:)
I'll be looking forward to seeing some new faces in class as a result of the ad in the Women's Community Connection and from the ad yet to be posted in the information booklet that will be given out at Pagan Pride being held at Phoenix Community College on 10-18. This years Pride event will be opened by a Buddhist group who will be sharing the moving sounds of their chant. I heard a sample of this and expect it to be very beautiful.
My pumpkin patch is growing some big beautiful pumpkins as we stand at the doorstep of the season. This is my favorite season and I'm glad to be sharing it with each of you.
Blessed Be

Ebb and flow

Today has been enlightening. Today I let go of some old energies and became excited about some new projects.

I created an outline for a Womens Circle class months ago that tonight I began to flesh out class by class. The objective of this series is "To give women tools to create an empowering community" which is more or less the mission of Sister Services I know. Its a worth while thing and I dont mind revisiting it with each and every class and meditation I write.

Tonight I also drew up Novembers calendar which I will post on the website next week.

Theres still time to sign up for the "History and lore of the blood harvest" class being held on 10-25, just a few days before the holiday. This day marks the end of the year in many traditions at a time where the bounty of the earth is returing to the womb to gestate during this dark part of the year. Persephony desends into the underworld and her mother Demeter shrouds the planet in cold and dark. In this class we will be looking at some of the history of the 31st of October and some of the origins of those traditions which survive today enfolded into the new celebration of "Halloween".

Then on 10-30 I will be hosting a class on mask making as this is apart of the holiday traditions of south america's Dia de los Muertos which occurs on 11-01 known in the states as "All saints day".

To sign up for either of these events or any class in the month of October you can contact me via email at sisterservices@gmail.com.

I send you blessings. May your days be full and your choices be clear. Blessed be.

Hello all.

Vacation was wonderful. We visited many parts of Northern Arizona driving a total of 440 miles.

The weather in Phoenix is beginning to soften into a mild heat with the promise of cool breezes in the near future.
In most places around the world this is a time of beginning to batten down the hatches in preparation of hard weather and a time of introspective hours locked in the house waiting out the season. In Arizona however this is the beginning of a time when our weather is at its most hospitable and best for being outside with friends and family. This doesn't take away from our time of introspection though as we see fruits and flowers disappear from most trees and plants. We feel in our bones the coming time of release and rebirth.

You are invited to share your experience and learning with community in a safe space at our "Monday Morning Guided Meditation". Come and explore your inner self in a place where you can share what you have learned with others and gain from their sharing with you.
To participate in this or any gathering through Sister Services contact E. B. Rodriguez at sisterservices@gmail.com.

May the earth be a teacher in the ways of acceptance as she takes in the leavings of this year and uses them to make herself new in the next year. As she has done since long before she gave birth to people and as she will continue to do long after the sun sets on our day.
Namaste.

Out for the weekend

Greetings all,

I will be out this weekend camping and such with my partner and my trusty companion Maximus the wonder pug.

Feel free to post your comments to me and I will publish them to the blog as soon as I return on Monday.

Also any email or voicemail sent will also be returned on Monday.

Hope all is well and I will look forward to seeing you at class one of the 'Exploring Your Chakras' series starting in about a week. This class will start with the root chakra and over the next seven weeks we'll work our way up. The root chakra is where we keep our most basic beliefs, needs and feelings stored. The root or Muladhara chakra, is the foundation of our energetic being those feelings and beliefs inform all the rest of our processes.
Your are invited to share your learning with others at this and other classes through Sister Services.
See you on Monday.
Blessed Be.
