A Day In The Garden

Hello all. I have been busy at work updating some glitches on the website. If you logged on recently you may have tried to open the new 'Fees' tab only to find yourself back at the home page- that is now fixed.
I spent this morning weeding my garden and found two new plants had volunteered up. A mystery pepper plant and some form of potato plant are sprouting. After weeding I went to the nursery and bought some baby greens and various vegetables. As important as it is to pull weeds from the garden it is just as important to then fill the cleared space with wanted plants. Empty space in a fertile garden will grow any seed that that blows in or is dropped in by passing birds or people.
Our minds and spirits are fertile gardens that occasionally need tending. We each have unwanted beliefs and unfinished business that is serving only to drain us and use precious resources we might otherwise be using to grow empowering beliefs and lives. I invite you all to come to any of our classes or meditations and tend your gardens with compassion, then share the fruits of your wisdom with our community.
Yesterday I was visited by a morning dove. Birds are spirit messengers that invite us to pay attention and learn from the information they bring. My dove reminded me that I have a growing sense of peace and balance in my life. The dove gave me an opportunity to be aware of my blessings and to be grateful for them.
This month I will debuting a class on divination by birds called orinthomancy.
May your gardens be fruitful this season and may you find gratitude for your blessings.
I am grateful for each of you.
Blessed Be.

Another beautiful day

Greetings to you all:)
I'd like to thank everyone who attended the 10-03 class at The Northern Winds on circle casting. We had a great conversation and I learned a lot from the stories, thoughts and questions that you all brought to class. I look forward to seeing you all again on 11-21 at the Making Dream Pillow's class also being held at The Northern Winds.
Or perhaps I'll see you before at one of the classes I'll be hosting at Corvus between now and then.
As usual I'd like to invite anyone who has attended any of my classes/workshops/etc to post questions or comments to this blog. The mission of sister services is to "Grow an empowering community in joy, learning and transformation", one of the ways this is done is by sharing our thoughts, questions and lessons with each other that we may benefit from the experience of others.
If you happen to be at any of the places where free publications are available please look for this months copy of the Women's Community Connection where you will see among other things, an ad for Sister Services! This is our first real advertisement and its kind of exciting:)
I'll be looking forward to seeing some new faces in class as a result of the ad in the Women's Community Connection and from the ad yet to be posted in the information booklet that will be given out at Pagan Pride being held at Phoenix Community College on 10-18. This years Pride event will be opened by a Buddhist group who will be sharing the moving sounds of their chant. I heard a sample of this and expect it to be very beautiful.
My pumpkin patch is growing some big beautiful pumpkins as we stand at the doorstep of the season. This is my favorite season and I'm glad to be sharing it with each of you.
Blessed Be
